A very important date!

Update – this event went swimmingly, and a wonderful time was had by all! The children especially enjoyed the arts and crafts and mingling with their favourite Alice In Wonderland characters. Some photos of the happy – and very mad! – day below.

We’re very excited to be working with the Mayor of Richmond to celebrate a very exciting afternoon tea on Saturday March 3rd from 12pm until 3pm. Members of Q2 Players will be joining the Mayor for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Join us for a fun filled party with games, arts and crafts, juice and cakes.

Follow the rabbit hole to Winter Gardens, York House, Richmond Road TW1 3AA. Please feel free to dress up and wear your maddest hat. Please note all under 18’s must be accompanied by a full paying adult.

Book tickets here for this fun-filled charity event raising money for the mayor’s chosen charities:

  • Me Too and Co – A local charity for children with disabilities and their parents
  • Cavernous Angioma Alliance – A Charity which supports with very serious neurological conditions
  • Off the Record – A Twickenham charity that provides confidential support, information and counselling services for young people

Thank you to everyone who auditioned for Blithe Spirit. The sheer range of talent at the auditions was breathtaking – and made the director’s job of choosing a cast both a joy and a nightmare! With 24 people auditioning for just 7 parts, I think we can say with confidence that this was one of the most popular auditions we’ve ever had.

Nevertheless, he has managed it, and the cast is as follows:

Charles Condomine – Hugh Cox

Ruth Condomine – Genni Trickett

Elvira – Mia Skytte

Madame Arcati – Denise Tomlinson

Edith – Cat Lamin

Dr Bradman – Tony Cotterill

Mrs Bradman – Polly Beauwin

If you would like to be involved in any capacity, either backstage or front of stage, please send an email to q2players@gmail.com.

Upcoming Spring Play reading

We are currently planning our spring play reading for 15th Feb – members and their invited guests are invited to contribute a poem, song, monologue or even a short play on the theme of hearts and flowers.

With this being Q2, we don’t expect your contributions to be particularly soppy and romantic so feel free to interpret the theme however you would like!

Please email q2players@gmail.com if you would like to contribute.

Entry to the reading is £3 which includes your first drink.
