Q2 Players embraces equality and diversity principles – accessibility, inclusivity, respect and difference – across its creative platforms.

Put simply: we’re having a party, and everyone’s invited. It would be a pretty dull party, otherwise.

The arts help us to understand difference.  But they also help us to investigate and express the things we have in common and our place in the world.

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, we would like to invite you to get involved!

Membership to Q2 costs just £20 per year.

Q2 perform two large shows each year in November or December and April or May. During the summer we host small play readings, where members perform poems or rehearsed readings. Social events take place throughout the year and include meals and quiz nights.

Chair: Harriet Muir. 

Harriet joined Q2 Players in 2011, and became a committee member a year or so later.  She has acted in many of their shows, and kept busy backstage sourcing, designing and making costumes.  She appeared as Charlotte in Three Bags Full, our first production at The National Archives, for which she also did costume and set design.

Secretary: Genni Trickett

Genni has been a member of Q2 Players since 2010, and has been involved with many shows, both on and off-stage. In 2016 the show she directed, Glorious! received the Arts Richmond Cygnet award.


Treasurer: Chris Hodges

Chris is a retired solicitor who has been a member of Q2 Players for over 30 years and a member of the committee (and treasurer) for 12 years.  He has acted in a number of their productions over the years, including the part of Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”.  Other interests include travelling, filming (as an extra), taking part in TV quiz shows, local politics and bridge


Tech Guru: Bob Gingell

Bob was a keen member of dramatic societies at school and college.  After a sabbatical of 40 years, he joined Q2 in 2016 and joined the committee soon after. His prime interest is in lighting and set construction.

Member: Sarah Hill

Sarah has been involved in local theatre for 20 years and has mainly focussed on lighting, sound and stage management whilst appearing in the odd show or two. She directed The Importance of Being Earnest for Q2 in 2018, and loves the blend of professionalism and friendship which is so unique to Q2 Players.

Member: Denise Tomlinson

Denise first joined Q2 in 2017, when she appeared as the iconic Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit. Since then she has supported productions by helping with front of house and hair and makeup, and was delighted to join the committee this year.
